Sending a Check-in
- Wearsafe SOS button: Press the button on the front once.
- In the Wearsafe App: On the home screen, tap the large green Check In button.
- Voice activation using Siri on iPhone: Activate Siri then say "Tell Wearsafe to send a Check-in."*
- Voice activation using Alexa: Say your wake word, then say "Tell Wearsafe to send a Check-in."**
- Apple Watch: Open the Wearsafe watch app by tapping a complication or by scrolling through your apps. In the app screen, tap the green ✔️button.
- Wear OS smartwatch: Open the Wearsafe watch app by tapping a complication or by scrolling through your apps. In the app screen, tap the green ✔️button.
Check-ins automatically close as soon as they are sent.
Sending a Red Alert
- Wearsafe SOS button: Press and hold the button on the Wearsafe Tag SOS button's front. You can release it after about 3 seconds, or when you feel the first vibration.
- In the Wearsafe App: On the home screen, slide the red ! button to the right.
- Voice activation using Siri on iPhone: Activate Siri then say "Tell Wearsafe to send an alert."*
- Voice activation using Alexa: Say your wake word, then say "Tell Wearsafe to send an alert."**
- Apple Watch: Open the Wearsafe watch app by tapping the complication you added to your watch face. In the app screen, tap the blue ! button.
- Wear OS smartwatch: Open the Wearsafe watch app by tapping the complication you added to your watch face. In the app screen, tap the red ! button.
* Siri voice activation requires iOS 12 and enabling Siri. For the best experience, enable Hey Siri, Siri on lock screen, and Always Listen for Hey Siri as described here. The Siri activation phrases can be customized in the Shortcuts app.
** Installing the Alexa Skill for Wearsafe is required.
Closing a Red Alert
- Wearsafe App alert view: tap the Close Alert button in the bottom right, then enter your 4-digit Alert PIN on the next screen.
- Wearsafe App home screen: slide the red ! button to the left, then enter your 4-digit Alert PIN on the next screen.
If you don't remember your Alert PIN, you can reset with the link at the bottom of the Enter PIN screen. You must have access to SMS messages sent to the Account Owner's mobile phone to complete the reset.
