Apple's iOS automatically shows a red bar any time a background app is using your microphone. If the red bar says "Wearsafe", then either you have an active alert, or you have activated the Wearsafe Rewind™ feature.
To save battery power, first make sure that you do not have any active alerts. Open alerts activate your location services, microphone, and transmit data to your responders via the Wearsafe system, increasing battery use. You can tell an alert is open when your Wearsafe App home screen looks like this:
To close the alert, slide the ! control left and enter your birthdate. We have full instructions including a video in this support article.
If you have no open alerts and see the red bar, Wearsafe Rewind™ must be enabled. To disable Wearsafe Rewind and turn off the red bar, tap on more from the app home screen, tap Wearsafe Rewind from the Settings section, and tap the off button.
